NON-FUNGIBLE TAONGA

Pounamu and polaroid series, 2022

The NON-FUNGIBLE TOANGA (2022) series is a collaboration with Klim Type Foundry. The small sculpture series explores the nature of taonga and the concept of value in the digital age. A number of these sculptures are accompanied with a digital NFT record of the artwork, while others are stand alone sculptures that have no digital presence or environmental footprint.  The font used here is Manuka, an Aotearoa New Zealand font designed by Kris Sowersby of the Klim Foundry in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington.
